Mobile Devices – Will They Take Over From Desktop Or Laptop Computers

In recent years we have seen the capabilities of mobile devices grow in leaps and bounds. With a mobile device the user has the choice of watching a movie, listening to music, playing a game, reading a book or surfing the web, as well as much more. In fact almost all of the things that we can do with a desktop or laptop can now be done with a mobile device. So you may be wondering whether there is even a need for a laptop or a computer anymore. If we can do all that we need to with a device that we can carry about in our pockets then why bother with a computer at all? This question seems to be asked quite a lot these days and really needs to be answered.

While it is true that the mobile device can now do most of the things that a home computer can do this isn’t to say that it does them as well. For instance, although you could create a document using your iPhone, you probably wouldn’t choose to do it this way. It would probably take you a lot longer to write a long article on your iPhone and the small keys on the keypad would more than likely be very frustrating. It is not very likely that the mobile device is going to take over from the laptop or computer any time soon even though it can do pretty much everything. And even though you can play games with your iPad, it won’t provide the same pleasure as playing games on your Xbox or Playstation 3.

Mobile devices are very advanced and will probably become more so as time goes on. It will probably be some time though before they do away with the need for a home computer completely.
