‘Virtual technology’ could help cure more illnesses by 2020.
If experts are successful with the integration of new computing technologies and the evolution of a ‘virtual man’ to predict the effects of new drugs before they enter clinical trials — this will definitely be very useful in finding solutions to thousands of diseases in the world.
The recent report of consultancy Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) is another encouraging development to the population who is losing its will to survive due to the limited amount of available treatments in the market.
This technology uses computer generated virtual models of the heart, other organs and cell systems. These innovative tools are being generated to simulate the physiological effects of medication and drugs. Expectedly, better results will be evident once medications are taken and found in the human body.
Greater savings are anticipated to increase by 40% if this project is adopted. With having more time and money saved, patients can look forward to a better treatment in the future. Before they are approved, medications will be tested in virtual technology before being administered to patients.
